Event Photography and Video Policy
Last updated: June 27, 2026
Director-y hosts and takes part in community events for filmmakers, actors, and crew. We often photograph, film, and record audio at these events to share the experience and promote our community. This page explains how we use that media and the choices you have.
By attending, you consent to being recorded
When you attend a Director-y event, you agree that Directory App LLC ("Director-y") may photograph, film, and record you, and may use your image, likeness, and voice as described below.
How we use it
We use event media to promote Director-y and its community, including on the Director-y app, our website, our social media channels, our email newsletters, and our marketing and advertising. We may crop, resize, and make minor edits for these purposes. This use is royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide, and no payment is owed for it.
If you would rather not be featured
Just let one of our hosts know at the event, and we will do our best to keep you out of the shots.
You can also ask us to remove media of you at any time by emailing hello@directory-app.com. We will stop using it and remove it from the channels we actively control (such as the app, website, and social media) within thirty (30) days of your request. We cannot recall anything that was already printed, distributed, or published by other people before we processed your request.
Minors
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to this policy on your behalf. We will not feature a minor in our promotional media without a guardian's consent.
